ABOUT JOHANNA
MA, PNCPS (Acc.)
I am a Person-Centred experiential psychotherapist, supervisor & researcher based in Cumbria, England.

I believe that by providing clients a non-judgemental, accepting and empathic environment, their needs, attitudes, decisions and potential for growth becomes clearer and more fully formed. I will support you through the challenges you are experiencing by offering a space to meet you in a genuine, honest way.

By forming a trusting therapeutic relationship, we can navigate your thoughts, feelings and experiences (past and present) to better understand how they have worked together to form your understanding of who you are and how you view your place in the world. I am dedicated to a working relationship that moves at your pace and the direction you choose.
I am an Accredited Professional Registrant of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), where my credentials, experience and standards of practice have been verified and accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

My current research article 'A pilot qualitative study of a person-centered approach to eating distress in women' (2023) has been published in Person-Centered & Experiential Psychotherapies.
I specialise in working with the experience of the inner critic and how this can impact self-esteem, affect your relationships and the ability to pursue your individual goals.
